The Captor

The film tells the story of a bank heist in 1973. A thief, named Kaj Hansson, decided steal in a bank in Stockholm, Sweden, in the mid-70s. During this robbery, several hostages are made, one of them is Bianca Lind. This assault will change the life of Bianca forever, as she will fall madly in love with the criminal, thus beginning the named "Stockholm Syndrome".

The film is directed by Robert Budreau ('Born to Be Blue') and is starring Ethan Hawke ('Training Day', 'Before Sunrise'), who plays thief Kaj Hansson; and Noomi Rapace ('The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo', 'Prometheus'), who plays Bianca Lid. The film is based on a true story about how "Stockholm Syndrome" came about, since this was the first case in history.
