Plot
This docu-drama style film follows the footsteps of a 19-year-old ragged and hungry soldier named Willi Herold (Max Hubacher), a deserter from the German army. These are the last moments of World War II and the fall of the Third Reich is taking place. To stay warm, the young man steals an abandoned Nazi captain uniform but he's surprised to see that his new suit helps him to become an officer and gather a group of deserters like him that are ready to follow a leader, whoever he is.
This alliance will start assassinations and looting as it passes through Nazi Germany, discovering a series of atrocities that serve as a reminder of the consequences of unlimited political power and social conformity.
