Plot

'The bus of life' is a 2024 film directed by Ibon Cormenzana ('The Summit', 'Culpa') and starring Dani Rovira. The actor plays Andrés, a music teacher who moves to a Basque town without achieving his great dream of being a musician. But his life changes drastically when he is diagnosed with cancer. The protagonist will have to travel on a bus that transports several patients for free to a hospital in Bilbao to receive treatment. Thanks to the laughter, confessions, experiences and panics shared with his bus companions, Andrés will gain strength to finally face his fears, such as stage fright, and come to fulfill his dream of getting on the bus. the stages.

Susana Abaitua accompanies Rovira as the protagonist of the film, which also has in its cast Elena Irureta, Antonio Durán 'Morris', Nagore Aramburu and Andrés Gertrúdix, the special collaboration of Roberto Álamo and original songs by Manuela Vellés. The film will also feature songs by well-known artists such as Kase O, Los Chikos del Maíz, Fito y Fitipaldis, Chill Mafia or Rigoberta Bandini, among others.

'The bus of life' is a production of Arcadia Motion Pictures, Aixerrota Films and Pachacamac Films in co-production with Noodles Production (France) and has the support of the ICAA and the Basque Government, and the participation of Amazon, ETB and TVC. A Contracorriente Films will be in charge of distributing it in theaters, and later it will arrive on Prime Video.

Written by Cormenzana himself together with Edu Solà in the script, it focuses on the importance of music as a therapeutic tool and has a special character for Dani Rovira himself, who overcame cancer in 2020.
