Plot
James Figueras is an artistic critic who will end up falling madly in love with Berenice Hollis, a tourist from United States who was traveling to the country on vacation. After meeting, they decide to travel to Lake Como, in Lombardy, to visit a wealthy collector of works of art, named Cassidy, who is the sponsor of Jerome Debney. What James and Berenice don't know is that Cassidy has one goal: to steal Debney's works of art in any way, so she proposes to both join his plan. When they meet Debney they will begin to discover that nothing is as it seems in the artist's life, but James is
tremendously ambitious and will do anything to promote his career: extortion, blackmail and even murder.
The film is directed by Italian Giuseppe Capotondi, director of '(Suburra') and the cast consists of Claes Bang ('The Square'), Elizabeth Debicki ('Widows'), Donald Sutherland ('Pride and Prejudice'), Rosalind Halstead and a living music legend: Mick Jagger, who returns to the big screen after a long career in which he has also developed his facet as an actor and film producer.
The film is based on the Charles Willeford novel that peers into the ins and outs of the art world. A story that questions how far we are willing to go to fulfill our ambition.
