The Bubble

A group of actors and actresses are trapped in a social bubble in a hotel due to the restrictions of the pandemic while trying to finish shooting the sequel to an adventure film about flying dinosaurs.

Karen Gillan, Pedro Pascal, Leslie Mann, Maria Bakalova, David Duchovny, Keegan-Michael Key, Peter Serafinowicz, Fred Armisen, Iris Apatow, Guz Khan, Danielle Vitalis, Rob Delaney, Maria Bamford, Kate, Witdave Simon, Chris Aske lead the cast. Judd Apatow directs and, together with Pam Brady, signs the script.

The director explains that the inspiration for creating the film came to him in full confinement: "Just as an exercise, I started outlining diferent ideas for TV shows and movies with no thought that I would make any of them. I heard about the NBA bubble and I thought, well that?s kind of funny. All those guys stuck in a hotel. Maybe there?s a play in that or a movie. I kept hearing about the bubble the Jurassic Park film had in England, and they were having problems keeping the production going. I thought, 'Well that's funny, a bunch of actors stuck in a hotel having a nervous breakdown, trying to accomplish some sort of action movie during the worst of the pandemic'. I outlined it for a while, never thinking I would do it".
