Plot
This film is set in 1939 and deals with the Second World War and the Second Sino-Japanese War from the point of view of China. It shows the tragic events which the country suffered at this time.
The story follows various plots, showing the struggles faced both by the army and by civilians. In one storyline, a US colonel (Bruce Willis) trains Chinese pilots in order to fight against the Japanese. Another plot follows a group of spies and refugees who must travel across the wild Chinese countryside in order to deliver an important device which can decode messages, all while the Japanese continue to bomb the country.
'The Bombing' is directed by Xiao Feng and written by Ping Chen. Together with Bruce Willis star Ye Liu, Seung-heon Song, and William Wai-Ting Chan.

Claire Lee Chennault
Jack (Bruce Willis) appears on Claire Lee Chennault. He was a former US Army Air Corps officer who became an air advisor & flight instructor to the Chinese government. Chennault will later organize, train, and lead the Flying Tigers. In 1942 the US air elements in China will placed under his command.
