Black Phone

In a city in Colorado in the 1970s, Finney Shaw, a shy 13-year-old boy, is kidnapped by a masked killer. Finney is trapped in a soundproof basement where his cries for help are useless. When a broken phone disconnected from the wall begins to ring, Finney begins to hear the voices of the previous victims of the criminal, who will try by all means to prevent the protagonist from ending up like his tragedies.

Starring four-time Oscar nominee Ethan Hawke in the scariest role of his career, and Mason Thames, in his big-screen debut, 'Black Phone' is directed, produced and co-written by Scott Derrickson ('Sinister', 'The Exorcism of Emily Rose', 'Doctor Strange'). Jeremy Davies, James Ransone, Madeleine McGraw, Gina Jun, E. Roger Mitchell, Ron Blake, Robert Fortunato, Chris TC Edge, Braxton Alexander... complete the cast.

The screenplay is written with Derrickson by filmmaker C. Robert Cargill ('Doctor Strange', 'Sinister'), based on the famous and award-winning story by writer Joe Hill 'The Black Phone: Stories' who topped the New York Times bestseller.
