Plot
'The Biggest Little Farm' follows John and Molly Chester, a married couple who decided to leave their urban lifestyle in Los Angeles and open a farm in Moorpark, California because of the separation anxiety and the impossibility to deal with the stressful city that suffers their rescue dog, called Todd. Apricot Lane Farms was founded with the idea that biodiversity is the best way to farm, with chef and organic food blogger Molly focused on sustainability when it comes to crops and livestock. 'The Biggest Little Farm' joins John and Molly through the ups and downs of their eight-year-journey to develop an ecological and functioning farm, from attempting to keep coyotes away from their chickens to dealing with the grueling schedule of farm life. Because of the previous John experience as a camera man before being a farmer, we can see a quality footage to show the way that they have walked over the years to forge connections with advisors, volunteers, animals and nature itself. The footage of California's natural landscapes are combined with hand-drawn animation and an uplifting score in this intimate insight into man's relationship with nature and sustainability.
'The Biggest Little Farm' is directed by John Chester, and is written by Chester alongside screenwriter and producer Mark Monroe.
