The Beginning of Time

'The Beginning of Time' tells the story of Toño and Bertha, an elderly couple in their nineties who experience how their pensions are withdrawn by the Government due to the economic and society crisis. From this moment the couple must survive for themselves because they do not have any relationship with their children since ten years. Due to their financial problems and their need of survive, the main characters have to sell their belongings, sell food in the streets and steal with the help of their friends. Everything will change for Antonio and Berta when their son Jonás and their grandson Paco appear unexpected and the parents recover their hope.

Directed by Bernardo Arellano, this moving film was released in the Morelia International Film Festival in 2014.
