Plot
Documentary directed by Ron Howard ('In the Heart of the Sea', 'A Beautiful Mind') centered on the years of the Beatles tour, which began that historic February 9, 1964. On that day at 8:12 pm the group began its performance on the Ed Sullivan show, which would be seventy-three million viewers and change their careers forever. So they were introduced in North America and began a monumental tour. Between 1962 and 1966 they gave more than 160 concerts in 15 countries. This film, created from archival material, plans to conduct an analysis of the Beatlemania of those years. 'The Beatles: Eight Days a Week' is an opportunity to witness the impact of those years in each member of the band, their relationships, their musical evolution, their lifestyle and fame. Second feature documentary Howard after directing 'Made in America' in 2013.

The film was made with the cooperation of Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono (widow of John Lennon) and Olivia Harrison (widow of George Harrison).
The original project was submitted to Apple Corps by One Voice One World, who also did extensive research worldwide and fitted out a website for fans to collaborate by sending their pictures and videos related to the band.
