The Beanie Bubble

'The Beanie Buble' is an American film, adaptation of the book "The Great Beanie Baby Bubble: Mass Delusion and the Dark Side of Cute" by Zac Bissonnette. The book explains the rise of the stuffed toys Beanie Babies in the 1990s. It is the first movie as filmmakers of Kristin Gore and his husband Damian Kulash Jr. She is a screenwriter -also author of this movie script- and the daughter of Former Vice President of the United States, Al Gore. He is the guitarist and vocalist of musical group OK Go.

The movie is a fictional biography of Ty Warner, the owner of toy manufacturing company Ty, creator of the Beanie Babies. The movie also follows the three women who helped him attain success: Robbie, Sheila and Maya. The three are based on three real-life women: Patricia Roche, Faith McGowan and Lina Trivedi.

'The Beanie Buble' is produced by Apple Studios and Imagine Entertainment. The movie had a limited release in selected cinemas on July 21st, 2023, in the United States. One week later the film was released worldwide on Apple TV+.

The film stars Zach Galifianakis as Ty Warner. Elizabeth Banks, Sarah Snook and Geraldine Viswanathan portray the three women of the film. Shoot in the spring of 2022 in Marietta and Atlanta, Georgia, 'The Beanie Buble' has received mixed critics, noting the talented cast but the shallow writing of the real story. The soundtrack features a new song of the group OK Go.
