The Apostate

'El apóstata' is focused in Gonzalo Tamayo (Álvaro Ogalla), a thirty-year-old man who is convinced that he has to break up with authorities and institutions and be different of the others in order to be able of become emancipated and get a better life. In this transition progress to his uncertain future, the main character, dominated by desire and guilt, will have to get over his past, troubled by his relationship with his cousin, his difficult childhood and the effort of his father (Joaquín Climent) trying to make him following his steps.

This tragicomedy directed by Federico Veiroj was released at the San Sebastian International Film Festival 2015. The cast is completed by Vicky Peña, Marta Larralde and Jaime Chávarri.
