The Alto Knights

Frank Costello and Vito Genovese are two mafia bosses from New York City who have always had a very good friendship since childhood, which they spent running around, playing, and witnessing the darker sides of the street. Over time, both rose through the ranks of the mafia to become the two most reputed crime bosses in the city. That friendship is now diluted, and they compete for control of the streets by sending their men, causing a fierce confrontation in the quest for power.

Despite this, both leaders have always respected each other, holding various meetings and conversations to negotiate. However, now in their old age, they are too tired of each other, leading Vito Genovese to order the assassination of Frank Costello, which fails, escalating the tension and conflicts to a level that will change the mafia forever and all of the United States.

This film is directed by Oscar winner Barry Levinson ('Rain Man'). The movie stars Robert De Niro (winner of two Oscars for 'The Godfather Part II' and 'Raging Bull') portraying the mobsters Frank Costello and Vito Genovese. He is joined in the cast by Cosmo Jarvis, Debra Messing, and Kathrine Narducci.
