Plot
Based on real events. Year 1975, Seyolo Zantoko has just graduated as a doctor in the Faculty of Medicine of Paris. Coming from Kinshasa, the capital of the former Republic of Zaire, now the Democratic Republic of Congo, Seyolo does not want to return to his country, where he lives under a dictatorship led by Mobutu Sese Seko. When he is offered to become the official doctor of Mobutu, Seyolo decides to remain in France. For that, he will need to find a job. It is then, when he accepted the proposal of the mayor of Marly-Gomont, a small village located in the countryside of northern France. Along with his family, Dr. Zantoko arrives in a region where people distrust them, never having seen black people and, in addition, from another country. Seyolo will do everything possible to gain the confidence of the people of the town and will prove that those fears are only prejudices.
