'La vida era eso' is about the precious and peculiar friendship between two Spaniards, Maria and Veronica, in a hospital room in Belgium. The former has lived there for decades after emigrating when she was young and the latter has just arrived in the city in search of the opportunities she never found in Spain. This union brings Mary back to southern Spain with an unusual mission. What initially begins as a journey to get closer to Veronica?s roots, ends up becoming a great opportunity to question several of the principles that have governed her life.
