Thank You for the Rain

Five years ago, Kenyan farmer Kisilu Musya began to document his family, his people and the impact that climate change is having on them. He has recorded floods, droughts and storms from very close, but also shows the human cost to his wife and children. When the home of Kisilu is destroyed by a storm, the self-taught filmmaker begins a communal movement of farmers with whom to call for action against the extreme consequences of climate. Kisilu manages to get away with his fight - even Oslo and the decision circles of the climate change summit in Paris - but the more he enters the world of global politics, the more resistance, bureaucracy and arrogance he finds. 'Thank You for the Rain' is the captivating and inspiring story of an indefatigable optimist, who tests his limits against all adversity in his struggle for a greener world.
