Technoboss

Directed by portuguese creator João Nicolau ('John From', 'A Espada e a Rosa'), 'Technoboss' is the story of Luís Rovisco, a divorced man in his sixties who lives with his cat Napoleon and works as a commercial director in a security company. He dreams of the day when the long-awaited retirement arrives and in the meantime he can almost always be found at the wheel of his car, singing songs invented to overcome the injustices of life and the problems that technology, his co-workers and a boss mysteriously absent keep putting in your way.

But there is no harm that a song cannot correct and soon these songs will unexpectedly change registers when he meets Lucinda, the receptionist at the hotel where he is working. A set of impossible situations will then be unleashed that Luís overcomes with his particular sense of humor in the framework of his last chance to find love.

'Technoboss' is a romantic comedy with musical touches that has been nominated in CinEuphoria and has participated in the Locarno Film Festival and the Seville Film Festival where it won the grand jury prize for its director in 2019. It stars the debutante Miguel Lobo Antunes, Luísa Cruz, Américo Silva, Duarte Guimarães, José Raposo, Jorge Andrade and Sandra Faleiro.
