'Superman' returns to the big screen thanks to James Gunn, president of DC Studios and director of the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' film series. Superman once again faces new enemies and, above all, unknown dangers that once again threaten humanity, but this time we will see more of the legendary superhero's inner conflict.

'Superman' is, according to Gunn, "the true beginning of the DCU." It is not an origin story of the legendary DC character, but rather an adventure in which Superman seeks balance between his essence from Krypton, his native world, and his human side. Clark Kent is the embodiment of truth and justice, the reflection of goodness in a society that considers goodness an outdated concept. The president of DC Studios himself is the screenwriter of 'Superman'.

'Superman' is one of the projects that are part of 'Gods and Monsters,' the first chapter of the new DC Studios.
