Student of the Year 2

In the sequel to 'Student of the Year', Rohan Sachdev ('Tiger Shroff, 'War'), a driven student at college in Mussoorie, is torn apart from his girlfriend, Mridula Chawla (Tara Sutaria, 'Oye Jassie'), when she's sent to a college largely attended by wealthy families. Rohan can't afford the fees on his own, so to be with Mridula, he applies for a sports scholarship and wins it due to his talent for sprinting. On her part, Mridula reinvents herself as Mia Chawla to fit in, and begins to develop strong feelings for a fellow student called Manav Singh Randhawa (Aditya Seal, 'Purani Jeans').

Manav has won the Student of the Year award for two years in a row and, whilst he and Rohan are fast friends, Rohan can't stand Manav's younger sister, Shreya (Ananya Panday, 'Khaali Peeli'), whom he is convinced is a spoilt brat. Shreya herself is focused on dance, hoping that her controlling father will allow her to attend dance school in London. Growing tensions lead to Rohan challenging Manav, stating that this year he will win the Student of the Year trophy instead of him.

'Student of the Year 2' is directed by Punit Malhotra ('I Hate Luv Stories') and was written by Arshad Sayed ('Adaalat'), Paulomi Dutta ('Bicycle') and Karan Johar ('Bombay Talkies').
