Stillness in the Storm

'Stillness of the Storm' tells the story of Lara, a girl who, after living in Paris with her boyfriend, returns to Donostia to settle down permanently. Daniel is the other part of the story, he has never left the Basque Country and lives a quiet life, with his partner and working in his own mother's real estate company. Lara and Daniel meet at one of the real estate visits, however, there is something inside the two that tells them that this is not the first time their eyes have met.

'Stillness in the Storm' is the first work by Basque director Alberto Gastesi in the format of a feature film. Here Gastesi shares the writing of the script with the also Basque Álex Merino in what also becomes his feature film debut. This Vidania Films production includes in its cast: Loreto Mauleón ('God's Crooked Lines') in his second work with Gastesi; Iñigo Gastesi ('The invisible line') in what becomes his third job with the director; Vera Milán ('The Secret Tourist'), she does make her debut with the director, as does Aitor Beltrán ('El internado: Las Cumbres').
