Slumberland

Eighth feature film by American filmmaker Francis Lawrence. Live-action adaptation of the comic 'Little Nemo in Slumberland', by Winsor McCoy, considered the first great classic in the history of comics, published between 1905 and 1911. In this version, Nemo becomes a girl and bringing history to the present.

Nemo (Marlow Barkley) is a young girl who lives in a lighthouse with her father, Peter (Kyle Chandler). They both settled there since the little girl's mother died. Peter tells his daughter fantastic bedtime stories about a mysterious character named Flip (Jason Momoa).

However, before finishing telling him his latest story, Peter, as a lighthouse keeper, must go to the aid of a ship that has been stranded by the storm. Unfortunately, Peter dies trying to help the ship, leaving little Nemo alone in the world.

Before being sent to the orphanage, Nemo is taken in by her uncle Philip (Chris O'Dowd), her father's brother, a gray man who does not believe in dreams or the magic of the stories Peter told him. . Forced to move to the big city, Nemo will have to adapt to her new reality and that Slumberland that her father told her will be her great support in these hard times.
