Slasher

'Slasher' tells the story of Julio, a young man whose mother gives him on his eighteenth birthday a mask like the one used by his father, who has been missing for many years, to commit murders. After this gift, Julio will have to decide between go on with his family legacy or embracing the the love of Úrsula, a girl who belongs to the group of possible future victims who has just arrived in the town where he lives.

'Slasher' is directed by Alberto Armas Díaz, filmmaker who also works as the screenwriter of the movie. The cast is composed by Sergio Alguacil, who plays Julio, Rafa Blanes, Cristina Bravo, Rafa de Vera, Anna Hastings, Mario Gallardo, Fabiola Muñoz and Reyes Monaj.

After passing through plenty national and international festivals, the independent Spanish horror film has managed to accumulate more than 40 selections and 11 awards in various competitions, standing out as Best Film at festivals such as the B-Retina of Cornellá, the International of Sant Andreu de la Barca and the Terror of Sabadell.

'Slasher' arrives to some cinemas in Andalusia, Valencia, Murcia and Tarragona on May 12, but the director and screenwriter hopes that they will soon be screened in theaters around all Spain. 'Slasher' arrives to Madrid on June 9.
