Plot
'SinÉl' is the story of Inma, a nurse who watches as the medical team places the body of Jairo, her partner, wrapped in a body bag in the guest room, which is marked by a security perimeter. It is March 2020, the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, and due to the saturation of morgues from the health crisis, the body must remain in the house for 48 hours until it can be removed. During these hours, she must maintain total confinement until they can perform the necessary tests on both of them.
This is the situation Inma finds herself in hours after her partner dies in front of her while they are having dinner. She has no time to process what has happened when she is faced with this scenario: she will have to share a house with a corpse for two days. Her life has changed abruptly.
Her relationship with Jairo was going well until one day everything went wrong when, due to the stress he was managing while trying to balance work and studies, he stole a pill from the hospital to keep himself going. From that point on, the shouting, insults, and pushing began. Now she finds herself living with the lifeless body of her abuser. It is then that Inma realizes that her partner has completely nullified her; now she doesn't know how to be alone or make decisions for herself, and in some way, he continues to control her life from the bag that contains his body.
Inma's confinement becomes more complicated when she starts to feel strangely observed, as if Jairo continues to judge all her movements. She feels bad for feeling good. She is relieved but also misses him. All of this creates an atmosphere in which Inma is forced to confront her fears, frustrations, worries, and secrets.
