Shadow Girl

Narrated autobiographic documentary of filmmaker María Teresa Larraín. While she was working on her latest project in Canada, María Teresa beings to lose her ability to see, due to the progressive myopia she was diagnosed with as a child, and that she had inherited from her mother. Her initial fear made her lock herself up from the world that surrounded her, as she felt unable to ever produce art again. However, after the death of her mother, María Teresa steps outside of her confinement and comes back to her home city in Chile. This action brings to her the discovery of a completely different world that ends up inspiring her to go on with her life and this documentary, that goes straight into the depths of blindness with courage and sense of humor.
