Plot
Director, actress and close friend of swedish filmmaker Ingmar Bergman since he was exiled from Germany, Margarethe von Trotta, makes this documentary as a tribute to the legendary director of films like 'Persona', Fanny & Alexander' and 'Wild Strawberries', among others. However, this is the first non-fiction production about Bergman along with 'Bergman: A Year in a Life', another production from Jane Magnusson, who also has made a short film and a series about swedish director.
'Searching for Ingmar Bergman' represents an approach to Bergman's image, worldwide recognised as one of the greatest masters of cinema, and whose filmography is composed by more than 70 titles of unquestionable cinematic quality. This documentary explores Bergman's world through interviews and clips from his films.
