Ghostface is back. Spyglass Entertainment and Paramount Pictures resurrect the most popular slasher franchise with some familiar faces and new actors in its cast. Neve Campbell will be back as Sidney Prescott in this fifth installment, which is being considered as a "relaunch" of the franchise. She won't be alone. David Arquette and Courteney Cox also have confirmed their return as Dewey Riley and Gale Weatehers. Among the new faces in the cast we will find Jack Quaid, Dylan Minnette, Mason Gooding, Mikey Madison, Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sonia Ammar and Jenna Ortega.

25 years after a brutal murder spree shook the sleepy town of Woodsboro, a new copycat killer has donned the Ghostface mask to resurrect secrets from the city's deadly past. The film is a direct sequel to 2011's 'Scream 4' and the first in the series not to be directed by Wes Craven. After Wes Craven's death, the film will be directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillet, of the directors group Radio Silence. James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick are in charge of the script, and Kevin Williamson, who created the franchise, will be executive producer alongside Chad Villella, also from Radio Silence. Paramount Pictures will distribute the film in cinemas in 2022.
