School of Magical Animals

'The School for Magical Animals' is the film adaptation of the novel of the same name by German author Margit Auer, one of the country's leading children's authors, whose works have been translated into 25 languages and have sold more than 7 million copies worldwide. The film follows Ida, a new girl in town who finds it hard to make friends as she becomes the freshman at Winterstein School. One day, her teacher introduces them to Mortimer Morrison, who travels the world in search of magical animals. All these animals with their own personalities have special abilities, can talk and are destined to become the soul mate of a child in the house. Ida and Benni are the first to choose. Benni chooses the wise old turtle Henrietta, while Ida chooses a cunning fox called Rabbat. When objects start disappearing in the school, the children and their magical animals must work together to solve the mystery of the school thief. 'The School of Magical Animals' is Germany's most successful film in 2022. The film, directed by Gregor Schnitzler, spent ten weeks in the Top 10 at the German box office, making it the most profitable film in Germany, grossing more than 11 million euros and more than 5 million viewers.

The film will be released in spanish cinemas on 9 september 2022.
