Savage

'Savage' is set in New Zealand and follows gang member Danny (Jake Ryan, 'Home and Away', 'Wentworth'), also known as Damage, across three key moments in his life that established him as part of the life of crime. In a story that spans the 1960s to the 1980s, we follow Danny from his humble beginnings as the child of a devout and abusive farmer to a key player in the Savages gang. Years after his first involvement with the gang, however, Danny begins to face doubts as he bonds with his brother, Liam (Seth Flynn, 'Fresh Eggs', 'Almost Paradise'), who remains outside of that criminal circle. Does Danny give up gang life and return to his long lost family, or does he remain part of the family that found him on the streets?

'Savage' is written and directed by Sam Kelly ('Lambs', 'Darlene'), who based on the true stories of street gangs in New Zealand.
