Salve Maria

María (Laura Weissmahr) is a thirty-four-year-old woman who has just become a mother. She dedicates her life to literature, since she is a writer, and lives with her partner, Nico (Oriol Pla). Shortly after giving birth, María comes across a disturbing news: a French woman named Alice Espanet has drowned her twins in the shower of her home.

María begins to become obsessed with the case and starts to investigate it: why did she do it? The protagonist will go so deep that she will even question whether she herself would be capable of murdering her baby or not. Along the way she meets a fan of her books, Ana (Giannina Fruttero), who will also become involved in the case.

The topic goes so far that María decides to move to a quiet town to clear her mind. However, that tragic case will continue to haunt her head until she reaches her mental limit.
