Plot
In the city of Khansar, Raja Mannar plans to make his son Vardharaja Mannar his successor, but Raja Mannar's ministers and advisors plan a coup to kill them by hiring armies from Russia and Serbia to attack Vardharaja and Khansar. Vardharaja manages to escape from Khansar and goes to his childhood best friend, Deva, in Mannar, who learns his story and sets out to make Vardharaja Khansar's undisputed successor.
'Salaar' is an upcoming Hindi-language epic action thriller film in Telugu cinema directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur. It stars Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead roles, along with Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy and Ramachandra Raju. Prabhas is reportedly playing dual roles in this film.
The film's music is composed by Ravi Basrur. The first single titled 'Sooreede' was released on December 13, 2023. It has been certified as an A-rated film by the Censor Board. It is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on December 22, 2023.
Regarding the role of him, Prabhas stated that his character is "extremely violent", something he had "never really done before". Shruti Haasan was cast in a lead role, playing Aadhya and was paid Rs 8 million. Prithviraj Sukumaran was confirmed to play one of the lead roles, in his return to Telugu cinema after 'Police Police' (2010).
