Plot
As a teenager, Finnie (Mark Stanley, 'Game of Thrones', 'Dark River', 'Sulphur and White') was fearless, cocky and lived without a care in the world, racing cars the streets of Fraserburgh by night and living for the next thrill by day. Now an exhausted thirty-something, Finnie holds down a job in a fish factory and is dismayed by the monotony of his life. Now a father, Finnie yearns for the days when he had no responsibilities and could indulge in his impulses. When his son Kid (Anders Hayward, 'Looted, 'Gap Year', 'Where the Mountains Grow') gets his girlfriend Kelly (Marli Siu, 'Anna and the Apocalypse', 'Our Ladies', 'Dixi') pregnant, Finnie is reminded of the responsibility thrust upon him at such a young age. Finnie struggles to open up to his wife Katie (Amy Manson, 'The Nevers', 'The White Princess', 'Once Upon a Time') about his feelings towards their past and future, so he turns to the one thing that has always cleared his mind: the road. Finnie borrows Kid's car for one last joy-ride that could either take him back to the past or threaten his entire future.
Inspired by the themes of Bruce Springsteen songs, 'Run' is written and directed by Scott Graham in his third feature-length production following 'Shell' and 'Iona'.
