'Ruben Blades Is Not My Name' is a documentary directed by Abner Benaim ('Invasion', 'Empleadas y patrones', 'Good Vibes') about one of the most recognized singers and composers in Latin America: Rubén Blades. The documentary delves into his career, his legacy, his relationships and the difficulties that lead to the path of fame and success. As many of his lyrics as his explosive rhythms took the musical genre of the halls to a more international audience, giving him the relevance he currently enjoys. Winner of 17 Grammys, a Law graduate from Harvard, Blades has also worked as an actor in Hollywood ('Predator 2', 'Safe House'), activist and politician. The documentary tells the story of the artist and his experiences around the world.
