Trivia

Non-professional actors

Most of the actors are non-professional, including of course the main character, Julia, played by Julie Ledru.

Based on real details

When Lola Quivoron met Julie Ledru, she realized that her life was very similar to that of her character, so much so that some details of her life ended up in the film.

Controversy over a statement

During an interview for Kombini at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, writer/director Lola Quivoron stirred a controversy by claiming that most deaths related to the practice of urban rodeos are due to the police who is acting dangerously when trying to make them stop. In reaction, many politicians made their disagreements known.
