Rey

'Rey' is a fantasy film who tells the somewhat truthful story of Orélie-Antoine de Tounens, a famous French lawyer, reigniting old memories and stories about the supposed King of Patagonia. Somewhat truthful because according to history, not all of the facts are 100% clear. The temporal jumps that we can observe in the film only serve to emphasise this lack of clarity in the history. 'Rey' is also a demonstration of how a story with an already ambiguous ending survives the test of time. The intentions of Orélie-Antonie de Tounens was to create a kingdom in patagonian's lands and to become their king. The film doesn't attempt to solve the story of the Patagonian King, it does however bring the individual into the spotlight.
