Purple Rain

'Purple Rain' is a dramatic film directed by Albert Magnoli starring the famous singer and artist Prince, who died in 2016 at age 57. This film was the singer's debut in the cinematographic industry and it also inspired him to write its own soundtrack and to write an album called Purple Rain too.

Prince portrayed a young man called The Kid, who is a musician from Minneapolis who has to struggle with his family's abusive behavior. He finds peace while he's rehearsing and at night when he's able to play in front of a crowd in a club. While he's trying to live his life without making the same mistakes as his father, he will have to face the adversities that will teach him the meaning of leadership, love and forgiveness. Prince won an Academy Award for the Original Score of the film.
