Purgatory

Inspired by the chronicles of Fulla Horak, Saint Faustina Kowalska, and Saint Padre Pio of Pietrelcine, the Polish film 'Purgatory' reflects on the fate of the immortal souls that inhabit the bodies of the Earth, as well as those who are no longer around us. What happens when we leave this world?

Since the dawn of time, humans have hypothesized and theorized about what awaits us after death. Although it remains an ultimate secret, it seems that some people throughout history may have discovered something, such as St. Faustina Kowalska, St. Padre Pio, or Stanislas Papczyski. Based on the testimonies of various mystics, the analyses of theologians, and eminent scientists, the film aims to shed new light on what is undoubtedly one of the greatest mysteries of faith: the mystery of life after death.

The feature film 'Purgatory' is written and directed by Michal Kondrat, who also created 'Faustina: Love and Mercy'. It features a cast consisting of Polish actors and actresses such as Malgorzata Kozuchowska, Philippe Tlokilski ('The Resistance Fighter'), Ida Nowakowska ('Suicide Room', 'Out of Reach'), Kamila Kaminska, Olga Bonczyk, Marcin Kwasny, Malgorzata Lewinska, Maria Niklinska, Henryk Golebiewski, Dorota Piasecka y Mateusz Dobies.
