Project Emperor

Juan (Luis Tosar) is an agent who works in the secret service who tries to gain access to a luxury mansion to investigate its owners for arms trafficking. With that aim, he approaches Wendy (Alexandra Masangkay), the couple's maid, and their relationship becomes much more complicated than both of them expected. In addition to this, he also takes on other side jobs, that aren't completely legal. These include protecting different personalities in the country and this time it is the turn of Ángel González, a politician who apparently does not generate much interest. The story is inspired by real events.

The film's crew includes several Goya award winners and nominees. They are its director, Jorge Coira ('Hierro'), its screenwriter, Jorge Guerricaechevarría ('Cell 211'), and the main character, Luis Tosar, who has received the award for 'Mondays in the sun', 'Take my eyes' and 'Cell 211'. In addition to Tosar and Masangkay, the cast is completed by María Botto, Arón Piper and Georgina Amorós. It has been produced by the Agencia das Industrias Culturais (AGADIC), the Insituto de la Cinematografía y de las Artes Visuales, Ley del Plomo, Netflix, Proyecto Emperador, RTVE, Sábado Películas, Televisión de Galicia (TVG), The Playtime Group and Vaca Films.
