Plot
'Prick up your ears' is based upon Joe Orton and Kenneth Halliwell's real life story. In the middle of the London sixties, the two men meet each other and develop an intense relationship. While Kenneth teaches Joe all he knows about literature and art, Joe shows him how to find sexual release. They will both end up in jail when their homosexuality is discovered, but Joe manages to bear his days in prison and writes a theatre play that will open for him the gates of the most important London stages. He will become the author of 'Entertaining Mr. Sloane' or 'Loot', and even the Beatles will ask him to write a play for them. However, Halliwell will find it hard to accept that he is the only one who didn't manage to be successful.
