Por tus muertos

The debut feature of actor Sayago Ayuso, titled 'Por tus muertos', is presented as the next Spanish comedy. Ayuso, who also co-wrote the script with Paco Mateo and Juanjo Ramírez Mascaró, marks his directorial debut in this project. The film, starring José Mota, Jorge Sanz, Marta Belenguer and Carles Francino, is scheduled to premiere on March 8, 2024 in Spanish cinemas, under the distribution of Buena Vista International Spain.

The plot focuses on Metralla, a successful rock group from the late 80s, known for their only album titled 'Por Tus Muertos'. Enigmatically, the band disbands just before their first concert. Thirty years later, Miguel, one of the original members, still aspires to be a rock star, even though his concerts aren't attracting anyone and his music store is on the verge of foreclosure. Ordúñez, a prominent rock radio communicator, offers Miguel the opportunity to perform a concert at the Madrid Congress Palace, with the condition of reuniting the original members of the band.

The cast includes José Mota as Miguel, Jorge Sanz as Valen, Marta Belenguer as Janis and Carles Francino as El Repollo. 'Por tus muertos' promises to fuse humor, nostalgia and music in a musical comedy that will take viewers on a journey full of laughter and emotions.
