Plaza de la soledad

'La plaza de la soledad' is director's Maya Goded's first documentary, it shows the life and the consequences of aging of prostitutes. It's a film that's a cry for equality, dignity and a respect that we all deserve, including these women and children that sometimes lack these things. It portrays the stories of the most vulnerable people in society in the search for understanding and awareness. It shows them as being brave and it reveals a sliver of hope even where there isn't any. Every story is different but they all have something in common, they give voice to those who have been robbed of it many times before. The filmmaker manages to show images that will unavoidably provoke a feeling of empathy in the spectator.
