Plot
'Places in the heart' is a drama movie directed and written by Robert Benton and set in his hometown. During the 30's, in a small town in Texas, Edna Spalding (Sally Field) must burry her own husband, who was the commissioner of the town. After this tragic event, Edna will have to face a completely new life. Now, she must put at the front of the family and provide for her own kids. Despite all difficulties, this woman will not lose solidarity and will take over a street vendor called Moze (Danny Glover) and Will (John Malkovich), a man who has lost his sight. Together, they will try to keep the family afloat, taking care of the harvest in order to get any type of benefit that brings food and money into the house.
