Plot
'Pizarro' is a documentary film co-produced by Señal Colombia, which tells the story of Carlos Pizarro, leader of the movement and the guerrilla group M-19. His struggle for Colombian peace, and his assassination after handing over guerrilla weapons, are the main plots of this documentary.
This story is based on the perspective of María José, Pizarro's daughter, and from the documents that he left behind. He was a lawyer and akin to politics with communist ideals. Colombian history that still weighs on the backs of his family.
The film begins with María José in exile, in the city of Barcelona, ??where she finds a letter from her father written thirty years ago. No matter how he fled, he can not escape his past, or his family's. Twenty years after the murder of her father, she is ready to return to her native country to uncover one of the darkest chapters in Colombian history, silenced by violence and fear.
