Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

For the braggart, but irresistibly Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), the crystalline waters of the Caribbean, like all the world's seas represent a giant stage full of mystery and adventure. But the idyllic life of Jack is turned upside down when his nemesis, the wily Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush), steals his ship, the Black Pearl, and later attacks the town of Port Royal, kidnapping Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) the beautiful daughter of the governor (Jonathan Pryce). Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) a childhood friend of Elizabeth will join Jack to lead the fastest boat of the British fleet, the HMS Interceptor, in a show of gallantry to rescue the girl and back to seize the Black Pearl. But Elizabeth's betrothed, the ambitious and attractive Commodore Norrington (Jack Davenport), chases the duo and their motley crew aboard the HMS Dauntless.
