Pinocchio

New remake in real Disney action after the great successes of the recent adaptations of 'The Lion King' (Jon Favreau, 2019), 'Aladdin' (Guy Ritchie, 2019) or 'Beauty and the Beast' (Bill Condon, 2017 ). On this occasion, the studio has rescued the 1940s animation classic directed by Ben Sharpsteen and Hamilton Luske, which won two Oscars awards for Best Original Song and Best Original Soundtrack.

The story focuses on a wooden puppet built by the elder Gepetto, who tries to give him life to turn his creation into a real child. His longing is fulfilled when, one day, the blue fairy uses his magic to give life to Pinocchio, although he still retains his wooden structure and does not have a human body like the rest of children. In this new life, the sweet little puppet will have the help of her own conscience embodied in the character of Jiminy Cricket, a small green being with a jacket, umbrella and hat that will guide Pinocchio through the complicated situations he has to do face in this particular way of life until one day he becomes a real child.

The original film adapted with certain licenses the 1883 novel written by Carlo Collodi with a much more adult tone than the classic adaptation specially filmed for the more young audiences.
