Phoenix

After acclaimed 'Barbara', German filmmaker Christian Petzold directs 'Phoenix', the film that won the FIPRESCI award at the San Sebastian Film Festival and it is considered a one of the most pictures of year by National Board of Review. The film focuses in Nelly Lenz, a Jewish singer that has survived the concentration camp where she was confined and where the Nazis disfigured her face. When she gets out, she decides to undergo facial surgery. She wants to go back to Berlin to find her husband, Johnny. Her friend Lene is sure that he hasn't been faithful, but she decides to give him a chance. When they meet, Johnny doesn't recognize her, and the things get worse when he asks her to impersonate Nelly (without knowing that she is indeed Nelly) to get her inheritance.
