Personal Affairs

This tragicomedy tells the story of three generations of a Palestinian family from Nazareth. Nabeela (Sanaa Shawahdeh) and Saleh (Mahmoud Shawahdeh) are an elderly couple that, after decades married, live plunged in a monotony until they decide to travel to Sweden to visit their son Hisham (Ziad Bakri). The daughter of the couple, Samar, is pregnant and lives in Ramallah with her husband George, a mechanic who is chosen to join an American movie. The friends of George try to discourage him by telling that he will perform a terrorist. Tarek (Doraid Liddawi), the third son of the couple, starts a relationship with Maysa, a friend of his sister.

'Personal Affairs' is the debut of Maha Haj as filmmaker.
