Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank

Animation feature film directed by Rob Minkoff and Mark Koetsier, with Chris Bailey as credited director, although he left the project in 2019 but his contribution was fundamental, which caused him to keep his directing credit. Film loosely based on 'Blazing Saddles', western comedy directed by Mel Brooks in 1974 and starring Cleavon Little, Gene Wilder, Slim Pickens and Harvey Korman.

The evil Ika Chu (Ricky Gervais) wants to take over the position of shogun. Eager to expand his castle, he seeks to destroy the quiet village of Kakamucho. After getting rid of the village samurai, Ika Chu and his right-hand man and head of Ika Chu's army, Ohga (George Takei), are about to drive out the villagers, but the shogun orders a new samurai. Therefore, he decides to recruit Hank (Michael Cera), a foreign dog. Since the country is only inhabited by cats and dogs are prohibited, Ika Chu hopes that the citizens of Kakamucho will reject the new samurai, which would provide the perfect excuse to invade the town.

Hank's arrival will not be easy, because the whole town will reject the dog because he is not a cat and, moreover, he is a foreigner. But Hank will not be alone, as he will have the help of Jimbo (Samuel L. Jackson), the former samurai of Kakamucho who will train Hank to become a true protective warrior, and Emiko (Kylie Kuioka), a white Persian kitten. who dreams of being a samurai when she grows up.
