Compilation of two short films directed by Isao Takahata ('Grave of the fireflies', 'The Tale of the Princess Kaguya') and written by Hayao Miyazaki ('Princess Mononoke', 'Spirited Away'); 'Panda! Go, Panda!' and 'Panda Kopanda and the Rainy-Day Circus', which were made by the two creators of Studio Ghibli in 1972 and 1973 after leaving Toei Animation and which, later, would serve as inspiration for the creation of such iconic films as 'My neighbor Totoro' or 'Ponyo'. Mimiko lives with her beloved grandmother but the old woman must go on a trip, leaving the girl alone. Despite this, Mimiko knows how to cope on her own, although returning home she finds a hungry panda baby that wants to eat something. Mimiko invites the panda baby, Panny, to her house, although the father of the baby, Papa Panda, will soon appear. Mimiko, who feels alone, will propose to Papa Panda and Panny to live together as a family, which Papa Panda accepts.
