Plot
'Pacific Rim: Maelstrom' is the sequel to Guillermo del Toro's 2013 film, 'Pacific Rim', directed by Steven S. DeKnight. After a lot war years, a new danger threats to submit the humanity. Jake Pentecost played by John Boyega ('Star Wars: The Force Awakens') is a young man who live on a criminal suburb after left his training to be a Jaeger pilot. Nevertheless, when the thing gone worst, his adoptive sister Mako Mori give him a chance to join her new pilot group to honor their father, the legend who sacrifice himself to the cause. Close to Nate (Scott Eastwood) and Amara (Cailee Spaeny, new on the big screen) will get force to fight agains the 'Kalju'.
