Our Little Sister

Based on the manga 'Umimachi Diary' by Akimi Yoshida, the new film from acclaimed Japanese filmmaker Hirokazu Kore-eda, director of films like 'Nobody knows' 'Kiseki' or 'Like Father, Like Son'. "Our Little Sister' tells the story about Sachi, Yoshino and Chika, three sisters are living in peaceful Kamakura, a city near the sea in Japan. The three sisters live with their grandmother and take a slow and quiet life. One day, they received the news that their father has died, a surprise since the three knew nothing of their father since he left them to go with his lover. Because the father left when they were very young, the sisters hardly know how he was. At the funeral they meet Suzu, their father's daughter was 13 years ago and now she has been left alone. Soon the sisters decided to live together.
